Pink Waist Trainer VestThe fabulous models and the gorgeous actresses have redefined the notion of beauty for years. Almost any women those days is being concerned about slimming down to get shapely bodies to look beautiful and attractive. In order to have a perfect posture, a slim waist is indeed an important criteria. This need gave rise to the trend of waist training. Waist training is a steady practice of minimizing the waist size by wearing some restricting garments which is known as a corset or a cincher.

The history of waist training dates back to the Victorian era, when the ladies used to wear grand and exquisite gowns with a very narrow waist. To accentuate the figure, a very tight corset used to be worn under the clothes, tightened with a string to get the tiniest waist possible.

Structure of Waist Trainers

Waist trainers are different from the other innerwear, by a major feature and that is its skeletal structure. The cincher or corset has an internal frame made up with fine bones from steel or bendable and flexible plastic. Once this structure is created it is covered with soft cloth and essential, but minimum padding, with an array of hook and eyes combinations or eyes with a string to make is as tight as possible.

How Do Waist Trainers Work ?

This garment works by its cinching effect. When the corset or the cincher is tightened to the extreme, it pulls lower portion of the ribs, inwards and may result in slight rearrangement of the abdominal organs to reduce the waist.

A waist trainer also results in sweating of waist to reduce the piled fats under the skin. Of course the effects are not fully permanent, so when you achieve the hourglass figure of your wish, you still have to keep on wearing the corset or cincher to maintain what you have achieved.

Waist trainers are supposed to be worn every hour of the day to get maximum benefit whether you are sleeping, working or exercising. If this is done, you will have the benefits increased by manifold.

Types of Waist Trainers

There are two types of waist trainers: corsets and cinchers ,differing from each other based on the bone structure they are built over .

Corsets are stricter since they have tough internal steel bones. Its training benefits will give you, your desired hourglass figure in lesser time than the cincher and it will be stable for much longer time. Wearing it can be a great challenge though.

Cinchers on the other hand have a pliable boning since they are made purely from fine plastic. Cinchers are easy to wear and comfortable even  for long durations. The expected results should come slowly when wearing waist cinchers but for sure they can help whenever you find the need to fit on your favorite dress.
